Newbury, Vermont is located along the Connecticut River in Orange County. The town was first discovered by Samuel Sleeper in 1762. The historic Bayley Hazen Military Road goes through the town. There are around 2,000 people who live in Newbury, and the median household income is $34,000. Newbury is known for it’s scenic views of the Connecticut Valley during the Fall and the Connecticut River during the Winter. Located in downtown Newbury lies the town post office and town clerk’s office. The Newbury Village Store is the meeting place in town, where locals stop by for their bread and eggs, and a conversation or two. In the heart of Newbury is the village green. The local school and residential houses surround the green, with a gaezebo in the middle. On the outskirts of town lies several churches, the town library, and a bed and breakfast. It’s your average small town in Vermont.
